DIRECTIONS TO AWAY MEETS FROM HANOVER AREA
LOWER MACUNGIE POOL Lower Macungie Pool is a 6 lane, 25 yard pool. Take 22 West to Rt. 309 South. From 309 South, take exit 16A, Hamilton Street/Route 222 south towards Reading. At the third light (in Wescosville) make a left onto Brookside Road (At Hunan Springs Chinese Restaurant.) From Brookside Road, travel for approximately 2.9 miles passing through 2 traffic lights. Make a left into the Lower Macungie Township property.
MACUNGIE POOL The pool phone (610) 966-5757. Take 22 West to Rt. 100 S. Go approximately 6.6 miles into Macungie and you will see Bear Swamp Diner and Salvador Pizza on your right. Make a left across from here into Macungie Memorial Park. Go straight into park, and the pool is on your left. NORTHERN LEHIGH POOL The pool phone is (610) 767-5488. It takes approximately 45 minutes to get to the Northern Lehigh pool. Take Route 22 West to 309 North. Travel Route 309 to Schnecksville. Just outside of town, Route 309 North will come to a "Y". (309 bears left). Bear right onto Route 873. Stay on this road thru the towns of Neffs and Friedens. Outside of Friedens, the road will bear downhill. Look for the large cemetery on the left. Watch CAREFULLY for Jones Truck Sales on your right. You will see a sign for "N.L. Pool" pointing right. (The street is Grove Street and may be unmarked). Turn right at the pool sign onto a gravel-dirt road. Continue approx. 200 yards. Turn left at the next sign directing to the pool. It is another 100 yards away.
NORTHAMPTON POOL The pool phone is (610) 262-7811, ext. 234. Take Airport Road North to the intersection of Route 329 West. There is a light at this intersection (Barn House Restaurant). Make a left at the light. Go approximately 4 miles and you will see a Plymouth Dealer on the right. You will make a left on Laubach at the light across from the dealership. Follow Laubach Avenue to the school complex on the left. Turn into the school and drive around the Jr. High School to the back parking lot next to the football field. The pool is across the parking lot INSIDE the building.
PALMERTON POOL Palmerton Pool is a 6 lane, 30 yard pool. Use the online converter to convert times to 25 yards or meters. The pool phone number is (610) 826-5357. From the Whitehall Mall area - Take 145 North across the Lehigh River through Walnut port to 248 West. or From Airport Road - Take Airport Road North to the T intersection (the one past Nor-Bath Highway). Make a left onto 248 West. You'll pass Becky's Drive-In. Later you will come to the intersection of 145 and 248. Once at this Intersection: Take 248 West to Palmerton Exit. Follow the ramp onto Delaware Ave. At the second light (Third St., next to the Park), make a left. (Third St. will go all the way up to the pool, but not in a straight line.). Just past the school, turn left onto Lafayette, then right onto Third St., left onto Columbia, then right onto Third St. Cross over Princeton Ave., then Harvard St. The Pool entrance is on the left across from the cemetery. Due to the huge size of this pool, it remains open to the public during the meets, so bring your suit.
QUAKERTOWN POOL The pool phone is (610) 536-5235. Take 378 South to Rt. 309 South. Follow Route 309 South to the intersection of Rt. 309 and Rt. 313. (Wendy's, Seafood Shanty) Turn left. Continue to the first light (Main Street). Make a left. Make a right at the first road on the right (Mill Road). Continue approximately 3 blocks. The pool is on the left.
SOLECO POOL Soleco Pool is a 6 lane, 25 meter pool. The pool is along Rt. 309 in Coopersburg. Take Rt. 378 to 309 South. (Rt. 378 ends at 309 in Center Valley). Go South. There is a light at Pumping Station Road (Peppercorn Pub). At the next light (Giant Shopping Center is on the left) turn left. Pool entrance is on the right.
WHITEHALL POOL Whitehall Pool is a 6 lane, 25 yard pool. Take Route 22 West to MacArthur Road North. Take MacArthur Road to Lehigh Street (across from the Family Restaurant). Follow Leigh Street to 3rd Street. (Look for brown Recreation sign). Make a left onto 3rd Street. At the second stop sign, turn onto School Street. This turns into Parkview Drive. Follow this around until you see the sign for Parkview on your left. Turn left into the park.
DIRECTIONS TO HANOVER POOL Hanover Pool is a 6 lane, 25 meter pool. The pool is along Jacksonville Road in Hanover Township, Bethlehem.. From Route 22: Take the Schoenersville Road Exit, staying on Schoenersville (not on 378). Make a left at the light off the exit ramp. Turn left onto Macada Road. At stop light, make left onto Jacksonville Road. Pool and sports complex is on the right side. From Airport Road: If traveling North from 22, make a right onto Orchard Drive (at light). If traveling South from 248, make a left onto Orchard Drive. At stop light, make a right onto Jacksonville Road. Pool and sports complex will be on the left side.
